REV.FR.BACKIYA REGIS

Rev.Fr.Backiya Regis has been a source of inspiration and guidance to Assisi Apostolic Family since 1999. With his poise, foresight, and spiritual enlightenment, Fr. Regis has been an invaluable asset to the community. Since becoming its Spiritual Director of Assisi Apostolic Family in 2002, he has provided unwavering support and has been a pillar of strength to Assisi Apostolic Family and its various ministries.

The masses, prayers, sacrifices and guidance of Fr. Regis has given and continues to give Assisi Apostolic Family the strength to overcome all hurdles and move forward in doing God;s work at great speed.

Father Regis is a true beacon of hope, renowned for his mammoth efforts, dedication, commitment, perseverance, and ardent desire to construct the now-famous shrine of Our Lady at Acharapakkam, known as “Mazhai Malai Madha”. The Assisi Apostolic Family counts itself blessed to have been instrumental and closely associated with Father Regis throughout the journey of constructing this miraculous church in honor of Our Lady. His unwavering faith and leadership have left an indelible mark on the community, inspiring countless followers to greater faith, love, and devotion in their lives
